Ken: As announced in an email earlier this week, the board made the difficult decision to cancel the October 2021 retreat. We are rescheduled for fall of 2022.
There are two Slow Stitch meetings scheduled at the Rose Garden. One on May 20 and one on June 17. Both are from 10am – noon. Bring a chair and your handwork and enjoy the company of your fellow Guild members.
Also scheduled is a Zoom Sew-a-thon on Saturday, June 19th. Let’s Zoom together live from our sewing ‘studios’ from 9:00am – 4:00pm. Ken will send the Zoom link closer to the event.
The June meeting is on the 9th and we are hoping to be live and in person! If anyone has a suggestion for a safe outdoor meeting place for our evening June, July and August meetings, please let a member of the board know. More details to follow as we finalize the meeting place.
Attention all Guild members with a long arm! Ken will compile a list of Guild members interested in being hired for long arm quilting projects. If you are interested in being added to the list send Ken an email. Ken will send the list out to all Guild members.
Reminder to everyone that the Modern Art inspired challenge projects are due for the July meeting. Hope everyone is having fun researching and picking an artist for inspiration!
Global Quilt Connection – Ken sent out the list with the link. Guild is automatically registered so there is no cost for members to attend. It looks like a great opportunity with great modern quilt artists.
