Annual Potluck in the Park
Announcements:
October 3-6th Retreat. The final payment for the retreat will be due by September 11, date of our next meeting. Please email Nela or EMQG if you have forgotten your remaining balance. Nela showed the zip pouch which will be a retreat project and she will make up kits for those who would like to join in. Cost of a kit (not including the fabric) will be $15.
2020 Charity quilt blocks are due at the September 11th meeting. Please make your word block and be sure to follow the color choices on the swatches handed out at our last meeting. If you did not receive one, please contact EMQG via email.
EMQG sew day: Our next sew day is scheduled for Sunday, September 8th. 10am-4pm at Eugene Garden Club. Hope you can attend and have some fun!
Board Member elections for 2020 is scheduled for voting on October 9th. Please submit candidate names at our September meeting, or you can email EMQG if you are unable to attend. Board members include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Photographer.
Daisy shared information about a fiber show now being held at Maude Kerns Art Center. #OMG That's Fiber? High Fiber Diet Group Show. Hurry to see it as it closes August 23.
Member swap:
An item of no side being longer than 12" was chosen as a swap item this month. We had 10 members join in. See the selection of wonderful items including a tea cosy, zipper bags, wall hangings and bowls below.

UFO FQ Challenge:
No one had finished their challenge project for this month, so the fat quarters remain in the pot for next month's winner. There are 6 participants signed up so far for September.
