February First Thursday Slow Stitch
First Thursday Slow Stitching group will meet next Thursday, February 7th, from 10am until 12ish. We'll be on the mezzanine (Market of Choice, 29th and Willamette) with our coffees/teas and projects. All are welcome to join in the conversation.

First 2019 Sew Day one week away!
When: Saturday, January 26th 10am-4pm
Where: Eugene Garden Club (Where our meetings are held)
Cost: $10 fee
What to bring: machine, machine cords, projects, rulers, rotary cutters
What is provided: tables, chairs, cutting mats, irons and ironing boards, extension cords and serge protectors.

January 2019 Eugene MQG meeting
Announcements:
Emily from Rich's Sew and Vac of Albany came to speak about the Willamette Valley Quilt Festival being held Feb 1-2 at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center in Albany, OR. Hours 10am - 5pm each day. There will be over 300 quilts, many vendors, presentations and classes. Featured Quilter is Peggy Gelbrich. There is a grand prize drawing for a $3,000 sewing machine. Also, they are taking donations of canned food for a charity.

EMQG will have a booth there and is looking for members to sign up to help with the booth during each day. Please contact Nela if you are able to assist.

Traveling Row Quilt 2019
Fill out a form and bring your finished row to February's meeting to join in on this fun event.
Quilt Con 2019 Charity Quilt was shown in its completion and it looks great! Thanks to the members who sewed, Jayne who quilted it, Gail who added the binding, and to Jill for volunteering to sew on a sleeve. Good team effort by our members!
Our 2019 Donation Quilt was also shown in its completion! Thank you to all who worked on this quilt.

Bonnie presented on how to search the internet and find websites of interest to quilters. She provided a handout and gave some handy tips when performing searches.
UFO Challenge:
There were 4 participants who completed the challenge.

December 2018 Eugene MQG Holiday meeting
We had good food, fun games and lots of laughing at our holiday meeting. It was a great way to celebrate a fun year with our guild.
We played games including Bingo and Strip Poker; there was a lot of fabric flying around the tables!
We also had an ornament exchange for those who chose to create some beautiful hand crafted ornaments.
Announcements:
Membership dues will be collected starting at the January meeting. Please bring your completed membership form along with your $35 (checks made out to EMQG).
