Meeting Notes
Kelly opened the meeting with 21 members and one guest in attendance.
Skill Builder Block
Nela explained how to foundation piece this month’s Skill Builder economy block.
Nela also reported on progress with the donation quilt that will be going to QuiltCon in February. She asked for help with binding and applying a label and sleeve.
Bee Blocks
Phylis received her Bee Block squares from last month and BJ explained how to sew her strip blocks.
Nelda, next year’s Bee Queen, sent around a signup sheet for the 2017 Bee blocks. There are still openings for February, April, May, June, and December. If you are interested, please contact her ASAP.
Monthly Swap
This month’s swap was a standard pillow case. The December swap item is a handmade holiday ornament.
Due to an uneven number of participants, Nelda and Daisy will have an additional swap at the December meeting.
Geek/Fandom Swap Art Pop-Up
Members of the guild who participated in the geek swap were invited to display their items at Euphoria Chocolates downtown during the 1st Friday Art Walk on Dec. 2nd . Members can drop off their items during regular business hours from Monday Nov. 28th thru Thurs. Dec. 1st. There will be truffles! Bonnie will send out more details.
There was a very lively show and tell.
Our next meeting will be our annual Holiday Social on Dec. 14th. Snack items are welcome! Kelly has promised us a surprise program.
