Framed Tilt-a-Whirl block (Unfinished 16.5” block)
Cutting requirements:
Blue fabric: 2- 14.5” x 2” strips
4- 4.5” x 8.5” rectangles
Pink fabric: 4- 2.5” squares
1- 4.5” square
2- 14.5” x 2” strips
White fabric: 4- 2.5” squares
Follow the following tutorial for the middle of the block. http://www.diaryofaquilter.com/2013/05/virtual-quilting-bee-block-6.html
I have changed the sizes, so refer to the list above.
Once you have completed the tilt-a-whirl block, add your longer strips. You will be adding these strips using the same technique as you did for the tilt-a-whirl block. These are sewn on with partial seams. Look at the first tutorial in the list above to help with the outer strips.
