EMQG General Meeting
September 8, 2021
Slow Stitch met in the Rose Garden Thursday, September 2nd.
Ken explained our meetings will continue to be via Zoom, possibly until next spring.
Nela explained she has put together packets for the Quiltcon Community Outreach Quilt Challenge. The theme is ‘angles’ and we will make Stars and have six colors to use. Each packet should make at least three blocks and need to mix/match the colors (one star color and one background color). Blocks need to be 4”, 8” and 12” finished sizes so make them 4 1/2", 8 1/2" and 12 1/2". Nela asks that you press seams open unless you choose to do paper piecing. Stars can be wonky and have any number of points. Blocks need to be completed and returned to the guild mailbox by the next meeting on October 13th. Please make sure to return all leftover fabrics.
