Meeting Wednesday-- Dessert Potluck

Hey there quilters!!

How are these smoky -- yet sunny days treating you?  I can totally feel the autumn crispness in the evenings, but those warm afternoons are a lovely way to bid adieu to summer.

Let's take Wednesday, the 19th!, evening to hang out with our families and our quilting friends at the park, Friendly Street Park at 2721 Monroe.  It will be a low key time to look at our show and tell quilts (maybe bring a favorite finish to share with people's families?) and have treats (if you would rather bring a savory treat-- no one is going to shun you!)  I will bring plates, utensils, napkins, and my tablecloths (do I EVER leave them at home?) and you bring a treat to share, any family member or friend who has been curious about your quilting obsession.  We will start around 6:30, as it is getting dark earlier and we will flee when the night falls.  There are picnic tables, but bring your favorite chair or blanket if you would like to.

Agenda Lite:

*Karen is going to talk to us about doing a charm swap!

*Wanda is going to talk about the Holiday In-Town Sew Retreat Oct. 27-28 (could we maybe have a jelly roll race? I am so curious about those!)

*Bring your "cider" swap & your bee block for Jennifer!

I look forward to seeing your beautiful work, and to meeting the brave families who dare to wonder "What is this Modern Quilting thing?"
