I remembered to take a few shots this past sew day-- usually I am so excited by all of the fabric flying that I forget. Kim rocked the machine hexagon piecing (that Nancy showed us last week)-- ROCKED it! I am totally trying it next time, hand sewing is TIME CONSUMING!
Kim also whipped out last month's sample block-- a drunkard's path variation.
I managed to finish piecing 9 blocks for my welcome quilt AND appliquéing my June sample block. I finished the embroidery the other night and it looks pretty great.
Denise was a blur of activity... I couldn't count the number of blocks she finished. A bazillion Retro flower blocks AND the June sample block. One of the Retro Flower blocks is in front of her-- SEW CUTE!
Karen is working on a wedding gift for her daughter... Vintage Circus theme anyone? GREAT color and such fun prints. Nancy and I "helped" her, I hope that she forgives us one day soon.
Geese were flying all over the place-- Kathleen made the sweetest paper pieced rows.
2 pics, I couldn't help myself they are so tiny!! She even uses a wooden roller to roll down those seam allowances, what a good idea.
Lillian drafted some curvy geese for Kim's bee block, she made piecing the curves seem so easy
and Lillian is well on her way to a finish of her bee quilt and June isn't even over yet!
Where is everyone? This must be lunch time there was a mad dash for Thai and the deli...YUM! What a fun day! Thanks everyone.-Jessica
P.S.
the monthly wrap up is coming soon!
