Testing, testing..... 1, 2, 3.....

(image from geekmom.com) (it is totally NOT my website, I swear!)

Hello friends!! I have been doing all sorts of OTHER things besides the computer, maybe that is why there has been radio silence from 'round here. The winter break around here was anything but.... my house was full of loud kids and some kind of lingering stomach ailment....and THAT is enough said about that. I am still amazed by the amount of time that an illness can linger in a house of 5. That said, I did make like a million more of those hedgie pincushions over the last month. They are just too cute AND super easy and mindless. I also made sure to spend a portion of New Year's day making a little wall quilt, just to get the year started off on the right foot. I hope that you all welcomed the New Year in a fun way too. (We told the kids that we were celebrating the New Year with Halifax, Nova Scotia style-- so they were in bed and asleep by 9!)

This is just a warm up blog post, to fight the powers of inertia, to get my EMQG mental juices flowing, and to be a little reminder about the Sew Night this week. I hope to see some of you this Thursday @ 6 @ OUR SEWING ROOM. Also I am going to get in touch with those of you who had some knowledge to share in the coming weeks to flesh out a calendar for our meetings this year. I am excited about the new meeting space this month, remember we are meeting on the 19th (one week later than usual). We are also going to do a potholder swap, I am in desperate need of some interesting potholders. I could make one to keep and one to swap. (Hey, that's the ticket!) See you soon!
